Pocono Raceway — The Tricky Triangle
Here’s a fun fact for your trip: several of our Long Pond Pads are practically neighbors with one of NASCAR’s most famous tracks. Pocono Raceway — the “Tricky Triangle,” so named for its three completely different corners — hosts its big Cup Series weekend every July, and the atmosphere is unlike anything else in the mountains: campfires, cornhole, motorhomes as far as you can see, and 400 miles of very loud racing. Even outside race weekend, the track runs experiences where you can drive or ride along in a real stock car at genuinely alarming speeds — an unbeatable gift for the motorhead in your group. If you’re booking a stay for race weekend, reserve early (we mean months early; the whole region fills up) and expect traffic on Route 115 before and after the checkered flag. The rest of the year, Long Pond returns to being a sleepy lake town — which honestly makes the contrast even better.
