Lake Wallenpaupack Boat Tours & Marina
Lake Wallenpaupack is 13 miles of open water with 52 miles of shoreline, and getting out on it is a Poconos rite of passage. The classic move is the narrated boat tour out of Hawley — 50 minutes of lake history, eagle spotting, and shameless real-estate gawking at lakefront mansions. The braver move is renting your own pontoon for a half day, packing a cooler, and finding a quiet cove where the kids can jump off the back until their lips turn blue. Paddleboard and kayak rentals are everywhere along Route 6 if you want a quieter morning on the water. The lake is busiest on July and August weekends; early mornings are glassy-calm and worth the alarm clock. Afterward, the town of Hawley does a great line in ice cream and diner breakfasts. It’s roughly 45 minutes from our Tobyhanna and Pocono Summit Pads — an easy full-day outing that ends with everyone sun-tired and happy.
