Barley Creek has been brewing in Tannersville since 1995, which makes it the elder statesman of the Poconos beer scene — and it’s still the most reliable “everyone will find something” dinner near Camelback. The setting is a big timber-framed lodge with a properly fun beer garden, complete with outdoor games and mountain views. The menu is exactly what you want after a day on the slopes or the trails: hand-pattied burgers, loaded nachos, wings, and hearty salads for whoever claims they’re being good on vacation. The house-brewed Rescue IPA and Navigator Golden Ale are the local go-tos, and they run brewery tours daily if the group wants a peek behind the tanks. It’s family-friendly until late — kids’ menu, high chairs, patient staff — and the after-ski crowd gives it a great buzz on winter weekends.
